S-a-v-o-u-r-e-u-x !!!

Encore moi...

Je DOIS publier un petit truc excellent paru dans une revue de marketing que mon cher Alexis dévore à chaque semaine. Je suis désolée pour les gens qui ne lisent pas l'anglais...

"Too much pink?

Barbie is posing for the cure. Mattel launched the Pink Ribbon Barbie, a blond, slim-waisted, perky-bosomed doll outfitted in a pink gown with a pink ribbon who "celebrates the incredible strenght, beauty and resilience of women." Mattel, which will donate at least $100,000 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, says the idea is to open a dialogue about breast cancer with children. I don't know what an anatomically incorrect Barbie doll in a pink dress can teach kids about the horrible ugly disease that is breast cancer (and why you'd want to tell a five-year-old about it anyway). But the real lesson here is that more and more companies are jumping on the pink bandwagon to sell products and boost their image as socially responsible corporations. Because it's so hip to be pink, other charities lose out. Why doesn't Mattel have heart disease Barbie? Or lung cancer Barbie? Or bulimia Barbie? And shouldn't Pink Ribbon Barb at least have a bald head and no boobs? Oh right, that wouldn't sell. Let's keep it pretty in pink.

- Rebecca Harris"

Wow. I love you Rebecca Harris.
